Dynamic Events are limited-time activities designed to inject excitement, foster community interaction, and offer unique challenges in parallel with regular content updates. These events are typically short-lived (ranging from a few hours to a full week) to encourage active participation and ensure exclusive rewards remain valuable.
The core philosophy is to provide engaging content that breaks the routine and gives players memorable experiences and distinct goals.
- Featured Pokémon: Each event spotlights a single, specific Pokémon species.
- Increased Spawns: The featured Pokémon appears much more frequently globally or in designated biomes for a set block of time (e.g., 3–6 hours on a weekend).
- Shiny Boost: Significantly increased probability of encountering a shiny version of the featured Pokémon during event hours.
- Event Bonuses: May include increased XP, reduced egg hatching distance, or special Field Research tasks.
Formidable, custom-designed "World Bosses" (giant variants or custom creatures) spawn at predetermined times. Defeating them requires server-wide collaboration, with rewards scaled by participation and damage contribution.
Server-wide hunts involving riddles, parkour, and exploration clues scattered across multiple dimensions, leading to hidden stashes of loot, tokens, or unique collectibles.
Special, non-PokéDungeon instances that appear only for the event duration. These feature custom layouts, event-themed mob reskins, and exclusive loot tables including rare crafting materials.
Server-wide objectives (e.g., "Catch 5,000 Pokémon" or "Plant 10,000 Saplings"). Upon completion, a global reward or temporary server-wide buff (e.g., increased loot rates) is unlocked for everyone.
Themed events distinct from the Seasonal League:
- Halloween Haunt: Ghost-type focus, spooky quests, and cosmetic costume rewards.
- Winter Festival: Ice-type focus, gift-exchanging, and decorative town contests.
The server provides support kits (decorative blocks, NPC vendors, prize support) for player-run towns to organize local fishing contests, building competitions, or small-scale tournaments.
- Event Currency/Tokens: Earned via participation and redeemable at a special event vendor for exclusive items.
- Exclusive Collectibles: Time-limited custom-textured tools, event trophies (furniture), unique banner patterns, and collectible medallions.
- Event-Themed Pokémon: Pokémon with unique textures or minor accessories (e.g., a party hat). These are non-breedable with their special textures to maintain rarity.
- Cosmetic Gear: Unique armor sets, hats, particle effects, or custom-designed backpacks.
- Rare Resources: Enhanced chances for AllTheModium ores, Ability Patches, or Guild Gems.
- Guild & Town Incentives: Bonus Guild Points for collective participation or special recognition for towns that excel during festivals.
- Event Questlines: Short FTB Quest lines guide players through mechanics and offer baseline rewards.
- In-Game Calendar: Clear communication via broadcasts, a visible bulletin board UI, and Discord announcements.
- Leaderboards: Competitive events feature visible leaderboards to recognize and reward top performers publicly.
- Translation: Key event information is translated into the player base's most popular languages to ensure universal accessibility.
- Major Events: One major weekend event (Limited-Time Dungeon or World Boss) per month.
- Focus Days: One Community Focus Day per month on a separate weekend.
- Minor Events: Frequent smaller occurrences lasting a few hours to cater to various time zones.
